By utilizing new and innovative software and technology solutions this allows the company to house their Financial, Human Resources, and IT departments off-site. Jon Gibson Company is a tight-knit team comprised of like-minded individuals with a passion for perfection and a unilateral drive for success. Every member of the team plays a diverse and integral role, balancing time between for-profit business ventures and philanthropic efforts that the company remains passionate about.
Jon Gibson
President
Jon Gibson, President of Jon Gibson Company and former U.S. Air Force Pilot, is a real estate developer who has developed residential and business properties covering more than 1,800 acres in ten cities over the last 50 years. Though the company initially focused on commercial projects, it has planned residential subdivisions to accommodate over 2,000 homes in the Sacramento Valley. The company changed its focus over the years from developing its own properties to the acquisition of existing retirement and multi-family communities in Idaho and the Pacific Northwest.
Jon and Marylois, his wife of over 54 years, possess the hearts of philanthropists, and a passion to preserve the traditional family. They care deeply about helping "at-risk" youth reach their full potential. They are the proud parents of two incredible children and eight of the brightest and best grandchildren! Jon and Marylois divide their time between their home in the Sierra foothills east of Sacramento and their ranch in Wyoming.
Marcus Gibson
Strategic Consultant
Marcus was born and raised in the Sacramento area and earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. After graduation, he turned an internship into a full-time role with Sandia National Laboratories as a Nuclear Weapons Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer. After five years living in the East Bay, Marcus transitioned to full-time telecommuting in 2009 and moved back to the slower pace of the Sierra foothills. Since that time, he has also become the proud father of five wonderful children. Marcus began consulting with Jon Gibson Company in 2011, contributing his technical expertise and analytical perspective on a part-time basis. While continuing his career with Sandia, he has supported JGC in a variety of areas including IT systems, operational problem-solving, and evaluating new investment opportunities ranging from oil drilling ventures to technology startups.
Sarah Mestanza

Sarah Mestanza, a native of Vancouver, Canada, moved to the Hawaii after attending the University of British Columbia, eventually making Maui home. Over 15 years in Hawaii, she built a reputation as a creative and hardworking entrepreneur—managing a family business, working as a wedding coordinator just for fun, and later becoming the owner, graphic designer, and publisher of the Maui Real Estate Property Guide. During that time, Sarah and her late husband invested in and managed multiple properties across Maui and the Big Island, giving her hands-on experience in real estate operations including project management, construction oversight, property management, and development. The family later relocated to Northern California to be closer to family and expand opportunities. She is proud of the young adults her children have become and feels grateful for the new chapter of life and partnership she has found. An adventurer at heart with a love for the outdoors, Sarah enjoys travel, river rafting, mountain biking, skiing, scuba diving, and capturing life through photography. She is passionate about building strong communities, creating meaningful connections, and bringing people together in ways that uplift and support one another. Sarah joined Jon Gibson Company in January 2015 and has been an integral part of the company’s continued growth, contributing her creativity, leadership, and operational experience.
Laurel Smith

Laurel was born and raised in San Jose, California, where she met her husband and together they welcomed their three daughters. In 2020, their family relocated to the Sacramento area, and after a decade dedicated to raising her children at home, Laurel returned to the workforce. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, curling up with their dog, and getting lost in a good book (or several). Laurel is excited to join the Jon Gibson Company
and bring her heart for serving others and helping people to the continued success of the team.
Dale Metzger

Dale Metzger was raised in the beautiful Black Hills in Lead South Dakota. He joined the Parkwood Management team in 2009, serving as the COO for Washington. Dale oversees the operation of PARKWOOD Manufactured Housing Community serving 360 residents. Dale also oversees the subsidiary "Northwestern Ventures" in land acquisition, subdivision development, and acquisition and sales of manufactured homes. Dale’s leadership and management expertise are what help distinguish Parkwood as a leader in quality living and service.

Originally from Tennessee, Dawn made the move to Washington to pursue her dream of living in the Pacific Northwest. With a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and strong sense of community found in Western Washington, she’s thrilled to now call it home. Outside of work, Dawn enjoys reading, exploring local restaurants, and spending time outdoors—especially kayaking and soaking in the stunning surroundings. Her warm, friendly nature and passion for building connections make her a wonderful addition to our team.
